Senior Java Backend Engineer

At Cafeto Software, we re looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join the engineering team of a US based company that builds enterprise pricing software. You ll design, build, and maintain backend services for a family of pricing products running on both monolithic and microservices architectures.

Minimum requirements

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices, REST APIs, and business logic for pricing workflows.
  • Contribute to the modernization of existing services and frameworks.
  • Write unit and integration tests, review code, and investigate production issues.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams across US time zones.


What we’re looking for

  • 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience building microservices with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with SQL databases.
  • Advanced English for daily communication with US-based teams.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar).

Nice to have

  • Spring 6/7 or experience with major-version framework upgrades.
  • Dropwizard or Jersey.
  • SQL Server, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure DevOps.
